Fake news!

Group size: Adaptable Big group 10+ small group 3+ and medium 5-9

Where?: Indoors

What you need:
2-3 real news stories printed (best if sensational but obscure)
Computers
A prize

Instructions: Split participants into two teams. Ask each participant to create a news story and make it as real as they can. (give a couple of examples). DON’T let the groups see each other’s creations. Once all the stories are created and printed give the teams the other teams stories and add in a couple of real news articles.
Ask the teams to decide what is real and what is fake.

The prize for the person who creates the most convincing fake news story.
